Once upon a time in America, chefs were kitchen help; in the past quarter century, they have risen to celebrities.

Juliette Rossant started the Celebrity Chefs column in the inaugural issue of the Forbes annual Celebrity 100, which also led to publication of her own book Super Chef and magazine by the same name.
